Netgear WNR2200 - Gargoyle

Post by guiekalle »

Hello,

I am a big fan of your firmware and I already uses several routers with Gargoyle.
Yesterday I picked out gargoyle_1.10.0-ar71xx-generic-wnr2200-squashfs-factory.img for my WNR2200.

But now need your urgent support. Currently I flashed my WNR2200 V1 (without any comment about version at label) with Gargoyle firmware over the netgear webif. I know this step from my Netgear WNDR3700. After that (waiting and reboot) I can not reach my router at 192.168.1.1.
It seems it has no webif and no configuration to 192.168.1.1.
Also I press reset button , but this will not work by confirmation of LED lights. Still nothing. In last step I used telenet software at 192.168.1.1, but the terminal window keeps black. With all my different routers no problem.

What can I do, to kick WNR2200 back in life?

Thanks so much. :)

Thanks so much.

Router is woking now with GARGOYLE.

I reached a sucessful flash by recovery mode.

So, let's get started.

1)Turn the router off
2)Use a long, thin object (e.g. a toothpick) to hold down the button marked "Restore Factory Settings" (or something similar).
3)Turn the router on, while still holding down the button with the long, thin object
4)The 'power' LED will start to flash. Wait for it to stay lit green. Then release the button.
5)Set your computer a static IP of 192.168.1.2 and connect to the router to you computer using the LAN1 port on the WNR2200.
6)Then download tftp.exe --> search by internet
7) Use cmd window --> tftp.exe -v -i -b8192 -t255 192.168.1.1 PUT "path_to\openwrt-ar71xx-generic-wnr2200-squashfs-factory.img"
8) flash needs sucessful message and reboot after some minutes.

Thanks so much.
