Power and Radio LEDs on WRT3200ACM

Post by ad19 »

Hi,

Have been using dd-wrt on my 3200acm for a few months now. Today I installed gargoyle_1.10.x-mvebu-armada-385-linksys-rango-squashfs-factory.img dated 2018-01-09 from lantisproject . com.
Everything works fine and wireless hosts are connected to both 2.4 Ghz and 5 Ghz. But, I encountered 2 issues: 1. The power LED blinks continuously and 2. Both the radio LEDs do not come up.
Tried searching the forum but could not find a definitive answer. Is this something normal and would only be fixed once Gargoyle moves to LEDE?

Thanks.

Something has crashed/stalled during the boot process causing the LEDs to never hit their final status.
I’d try a simple reboot first to see if that corrects it.
If not, a system log and the output of “ps” should tell us what is stuck.

Would be best I flash again. Is there a command in Gargoyle I can use to change the boot partition and boot up in factory fw? Something similar to ubootenv or Advanced Reboot in LEDE?

Thank you.

I think you can use the same commands as Lede, but I find it easier to just do the triple power on off routine.

Same problem. Reboot or refresh doesn't help.

Nothing special in the log.

did you go back to factory firmware before flashing gargoyle? I find trying to flash direct from DD-wrt to gargoyle or lede does something similar to what you describe on my WRT1900ACS

Flashed from factory fw. I always keep one partition on factory fw.

I think I had to flash both partitions to factory from DD-WRT and then reflash - if you swap to the alternative (factory) partition and then reflash you are trying to overwrite the DD-WRT partition and for some reason I always had problems trying to do this on my WRT1900ACS - worth a try if you haven't already tried this

Nothing unusual in PS either.
Not sure to be honest. I don’t recall this issue on mine
