Does TP-LINK TL-WR1043ND V1 work 100% with Gargoyle 1.8.1?

Post by webipsum »

Today my TL-WR1043ND V1 work with Gargoyle 1.5.11 firmware.
Everything works OK except DLNA (_minidlna).
Has anyone updated the firmware for the:
- Gargoyle 1.8.1 (Stable) or
- Gargoyle 1.9.2 (Experimental)?
What was the result?
Does work 100%?
Any tips?
Thank you so much.

My router blew up (That was my assumption anyway) 1.9.2

Only reason to upgrade is a few new features plus better wifi drivers

If you aren't having problems, stick with current firmware

:D ispyisail.

"My router blew up" (Literally? Or is it a way of saying that it was very good!).

Currently DLNA does not work (but is not a priority). The router has no memory to install the plugin and if I change the storage path of the plugin to the HD that is in USB, the DLNA does not work properly. That is, I can not use DLNA.

The priority is: The HD that is connected to the USB sometimes only has the shared main folder, example "shared_1". Do not display folders inside. When this happens, the HD capacity appears with a few MB.
When normal it presents the folders and the capacity of the HD that is of 300GB.

- The HD is formatted as NTFS,
- It has a single partition,
- It was not formatted in Gargoyle.

Grateful.

Literally.

I'm going to suggest try upgrade

If it doesn't work downgrade again

Note: You will need to configure the router fresh in both directions. Don't use any backup files between versions. (or preserve settings)

No idea if the upgrade will help

they are all designed to "work" with all of the routers.
just give it a go or don't.
