@crissty

It must work :-)

Please update to latest version because of some transparent proxy problem after disable tinyproxy :roll:

Hi all, Im a completely newbie using Gargoyle and OpenWRT. I have a few questions for the experts that have patience and time. I have an external HD (2 Tb) connected in my TL-WR1043ND on USB port, with ext4, and works like a charm. My question is: Is it possible to use part of this HD as a Squid Proxy cache? How do I setup this, this router is connected to another one as Bridge/Repeater, the other one is an ADSL/Wireless router from 3Com 3CRWDR101-A75 and works really Ok, with TPlink and Gargoyle. What I want is to speedup my connection making some cache. My Sony Bravia is connect on TP-Link but I goes all the time on net for new stuffs, would be really nice to see stuffs agains without need to wait the router search again the same stuffs all the time.

Another question, I dont have any idea how to put the tinyproxy plugin into the router, someone could please give me the first steps and how to enable it, I tried wget but doesnt work, with scp I got lost.

Cheers

http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Ipkg

Tutorial on how to get ipkg installs working.

As far as speeding up your internet - are you running torrents?
Any file sharing? etc?

Stop running those, then perform speed tests.

Hi, thanks for the tip. No torrents at this momment, I just want to perform some cache to speed up the loading process when I see the same video again on youtube.

Cheers

I know I'm digging up an old thread... but anyone know if this plugin would install and function correctly on the new 1.5.9 version? I saw that there was a newer version of the ipk file at http://openwrt.pl/dl/pakiety/plugin-gar ... pl_all.ipk

Thanks in advance!
