bandwith limit - last 30 days. possible?

Post by mrplow »

My ISP, Shaw Communications, has a limit of 100gb total transfer (up/down) for the last 30 days. So on March 15th the total bandwidth limit is 100gb from Feb 16th through to March 15th. Is it possible to use this firmware to monitor the last x number of days rather than resetting every x day? From what I understand this might require a lot of changes in the code.

Yeah... that's not trivial. The quota module is designed to reset once an hour/week/day or month, not every specific time period. It can be modified, but it isn't trivial, so don't expect an update for this any time soon.

However if you just want to monitor, you can get a readout of total bandwidth used each day in the bandwidth section, and add that up. Not sure if that's too helpful though, since you'll need to take out your calculator...
