Seeing a bit of this in the log - no discernable impact on connection.

Code: Select all

If not, I can set up a DDNS entry, and then share it with you for testing - updates are via a token rather than the account password, and I'm pretty sure I can set up a token for a specific DDNS entry.

Thanks for setting up a test account.
To fix the "update failed", you just need to change the "success_regexp" in /etc/ddns_providers.conf to "/200/". The success response has changed format.

The remote IP lookup worked fine for me. That indicates more to me a DNS resolution issue on your/your ISP's end.

Thanks for finding a fix.

Remote IPs now seem to work some of the time. I'm using OpenDNS, but might try out google and others.

Further testing this morning:
201 is returned when no update is required (so this would be a successful return in a force update scenario).

Ah, thanks i'll add the 201 case as well. I kept running into the 10 minute cooldown so never saw that code. How annoying!
Thank you very much for setting up multiple accounts, otherwise my computer would have been hurled through a window.

Another smooth update.

Just upgraded to 20200614-1235 git@00d50fef with preserve settings, added in plugin sources, installed and enabled adblock and other favourite plugins.

I see from your other post that https://lantisproject.com/gargoyle_custom/1.13.x/ is where the latest IPv6 test builds.

OK to Preserve Settings from https://lantisproject.com/gargoyle_cust ... st_builds/ if you're on the latest build from there?
