Yes that is what i meant by the above quote. It really is your only option on low spec devices now.
I'm not sure about USB hubs, i've never tried it. If it were to work, i'd be willing to bet that it MUST be a powered USB hub, not a passive one.

There are no docker images for developing Gargoyle, but the instructions are all available here:
https://github.com/ericpaulbishop/gargo ... /README.md
and here:
https://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/do ... umentation

However, i'd suggest you are fighting a losing battle. I spent months trying to preserve these devices and this is where we ended up. I can't make any guarantees they'll even function on even newer versions.

Well the issue with routers is - which one to buy.
Knowing the performance and price of DLink 882 - there is simply no justification for seeing 300% higher price tag for equally fast MU-MIMO Linksys AC3200.

I don't get why all other MU MIMO routers seems to be using unsupportable chipsets and only Linksys has the only openwrt router as of today ??

The performance of MU MIMO was amazing - so I do not want to buy anything without it.

There are no open source routers that currently support mu-mimo**, so there's no gain to be had there anyway.

** except maybe some running DDWRT which are running proprietary drivers.

And what about MU-MIMO RT-AC58U: https://www.asus.com/Networking/RT-AC58U/ - installation is quite heavy - for advanced, but can do MU-MIMO and supports OpenWrt: https://openwrt.org/toh/asus/rt-ac58u

There's no support for Gargoyle yet.

Unless the situation has changed, as I said above there is no mu-mimo support.
