Quota Bug - Cant delete or create new

Post by thecrazy »

I'm unable to delete, create or change the quotas.

I only have one quota on the quota page right now:
All Always 50GB/NA/NA Reset every month on the 26th

What ever i try to do in there, delete, edit or create a new quota, when I save changes all the changes I did are discarded and the same quota is back. As if it was read only or something...

Any ideas how can I fix this?

I'm running version 1.3.3 on a WRT54G v2 with 32mb of RAM.

ps.: Im also having the same problem this guy is reporting here: http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... 3860#p3860

Thx guys.

That is troubling/puzzling. I've tried to replicate this, but it works fine for me. Please try the following:

1) Try closing out the browser completely and trying again, in case it's a caching issue.

2) Try rebooting the router (if you use the reboot on the web interface in system/reboot most of your data should be saved).

3) If neither of those work, ssh into the router, and run "dmesg |grep mini_fo", as described here, to check if maybe there is a hardware problem.

Ive been having all sorts of weird problems with gargoyle, data not showing up properly, interface not working as it should... funny part is when i put another firmware on it my router works fine. (tomato, ddwrt etc..)

Is something up with the WRT and gargoyle?

FYI i downgraded from 1.3.3 to 1.2.4 and everything seems to work fine. Ill have to wait a few days to make sure the B/W logs are adding up properly.

Also, "dmesg |grep mini_fo" is no longer showing errors...

So I am not the only one huh???

THis page quotas_edit.sh doesn't work properly ON Firefox 3.6.
The save and cancel button doesn't work , and it doesn't show the throttled value previously assigned.

HOWEVER

It works FINE on Internet Explorer though ( version 6) yeah.. i know.. i didn't bother to update.......
no biggie... i just UPDATE or EDIT the quota using IE

FYI I have firefox 3.6.8 and the page works fine. Then again, im on firmware version 1.2.4 now. I know i used to have buttons that went missing now and then in addition to the quota bug and the bandwith that didnt get calculated properly. Also had some memory errors.

Still no problem my downgrade and still no memory errors.
This is all i get now:

Code: Select all

mini_fo: using base directory: /
mini_fo: using storage directory: /jffs

Hi,
I'm having basically the same issues as described above, am running version 1.3.4 on a Linksys wrt54gs V4.

I can't save any settings at all. IE, Google chrome and firefox do not help. All cache has been cleared.

SSH shows the following:

root@OpenWrt:~# dmesg |grep mini_fo
Registering mini_fo version $Id$
mini_fo: using base directory: /
mini_fo: using storage directory: /overlay
mini_fo_setattr: ERROR, invalid state detected [1].

mini_fo_open: invalid file state detected.
mini_fo_unlink: ERROR, invalid state detected.
mini_fo_open: invalid file state detected.
mini_fo_setattr: ERROR, invalid state detected [1].

mini_fo_open: invalid file state detected.
mini_fo_unlink: ERROR, invalid state detected.
mini_fo_open: invalid file state detected.
mini_fo_setattr: ERROR, invalid state detected [1].
mini_fo_open: invalid file state detected.
mini_fo_open: invalid file state detected.
mini_fo_unlink: ERROR, invalid state detected.
mini_fo_open: invalid file state detected.
mini_fo_open: invalid file state detected.
mini_fo_open: invalid file state detected.
mini_fo_setattr: ERROR, invalid state detected [1].
mini_fo_open: invalid file state detected.
mini_fo_open: invalid file state detected.
mini_fo_unlink: ERROR, invalid state detected.
mini_fo_open: invalid file state detected.
root@OpenWrt:~#

Have tried many reboots, reflashed the router twice and still no luck.

Thanks,

Rohan, try to install the firmware version 1.2.4 and see if that fixes things for you (bugs & memory errors). I know its a downgrade but every options i needed are still available in that version.

One thing i would like to point out, after flashing my router with version 1.2.4 i went in System > Backup / Restore and clicked "Restore Default Configuration Now"

I know sometimes there used to be problems when changing from different firmware versions without doing a reset.. (like when going from DD-WRT to tomato etc...) maybe try to reset the default config in 1.3.4 first and then try 1.2.4 if it didn't fix it. Please update us on your progress.

Hey,

I downgraded to version 1.3.3. All problems appear to be fixed.

I'm now able to apply settings from all menu's in the web interface and settings are being retained.

Also there are no memory errors.

Reseting the default config did not help in version 1.3.4.

hmmm... strange, 1.3.3 is the version that didnt work for me.

Before flashing your router with 1.3.4 what firmware did you have on your router? Was it gargoyle or were you running something else like tomato or dd-wrt?
