Download limiter

Post by mates »

Hi

I need somehow limit speed.
I have 50/25 connection via optical cable.

I would like to have speed limit on IP 10.0.0.6 to 10/10 Mbit/s
and also I would like to have full speed on other devices.

What and where should I need to set?

I am not sure where to add this topic if into QoS or here. I tried play with QoS but without succes.

Could anybody help me?

thank you

QoS will do this easily. Please read the QoS configuration instructions in the documentation section of this site and then "play" with it some more.

When you are ready to post much more details and screen shots about what you doing and the problems you have post in the QoS section.

Hi
I added service class called TV with parameter
TV 20% zero 10000 Yes *

TV has IP 192.168.1.20

now how should I limit bandwitch to 10Mbit
I assume that I set new clasification rule for TV class with
Source IP: 192.168.1.20 or Destination: 192.168.1.20 ?
or
Source IP: 192.168.1.20 and Destination: 192.168.1.20 ?
or only
Source IP: 192.168.1.20
or only
Destination: 192.168.1.20

thank you for answering

For this class you should set MinRTT to no. Watching TV is not interactive.

As stated in the Wiki rules on the download page use destination IP and rules on the upload page use source IP. You can leave all other fields blank.

Carefully set your download and upload speed limits as shown in the Wiki and then enable the ACC and you should be done.

If you have trouble be sure to post your entire QoS download page captured while the problem is occurring.
