Access Restrictions

Post by giffordj »

I setup access restrictions with the 1.5.9 build on a WZR-HP-AG300H. They appear not be working.

I setup access rules to disable network access from 00:01 to 17:00 daily. I also created a exemption group with only 5 mac addresses that should bypass all rules.

Any ideas?

I was having trouble entering address ranges. If I created a rule with range "192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.245" it saved the rule but the rule did not seem to work.
After removing the spaces around the "-" sign, the rule did work. It took me 2 days banging my head against a wall trying to work out why some of my rules worked while others didn't!

yes, you are right

The rule checker lets you put both methods in.

Is it a bug then ?

Should the rule checker be modified to address this issue ?
