Wakeonlan package no longer available

Post by arthng »

Hi,
I was able to install and use the wakeonlan package before - earlier this year with the latest version of Gargoyle. Not sure when it stopped being available.

Any ideas how I can get it again?

I posted this on the OpenWrt forum and got a few replies saying it is available there.

Thanks,
Art

I switched Gargoyle to etherwake because wakeonlan was having issues compiling at the time and I couldn't figure it out.
Etherwake is a good replacement, slightly different command line parameters.

If you just install the Gargoyle WOL plugin you should get what you need.

Tried the solution posted in...
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=12381

and it worked.
Looks like this is a general problem with the file /etc/opkg.conf

Thanks,

That is solution #2.

Just using etherwake is what I would recommend and what is supported.
But, do what works for you.

I tried using etherwake but unfortunately it doesn't work with my old Buffalo NAS. Thanks for the suggestions though.
