Problem with Gargoyle login page

Post by hbaf »

I'm new here so I'd like to say hello to everyone.

My problem is that I can't login to my TP-Link WDR4300 GUI running Gargoyle 1.11.0.
The login page changed, and now it's only just a white background with a place to enter admin password (no place to enter login). Unfortunately I can't add a picture to this forum. The Login button does nothing.
I can't remember anything I did that could affect my router.
The problem exists when i try to login from all of my devices. Rebooting the router does not help.
I can login via SSH.
I would try to do a factory reset, but that will wipe all of my transfer data, which are crucial for me.

So, does anyone know a way to fix my login page so I can login to GUI normally, or return my router to the defaults without loosing all of my transfer data?

Will appreciate any help. Sorry if my english is not perfect.

Try clearing your browser cache, or checking the browser console for errors.

Hi, thanks for your reply.

Clearing the cache does not help. Also the problem exists in different devices, operating systems and browsers.

The console in Firefox shows following error:
ReferenceError: setStatusAndQuotas is not defined

Are you using any browser plugins like noscript?
Alternatively, your login.js file is missing.

You can check this on the command line in the www folder.

Disabling all the plugins I use changes nothing.
There's a login.js file in /www/js/login.js.

Now I can attach an image. The login page looks like this across all the devices:

1. Reset the theme to the default:
copy the file from /rom/etc/config/gargoyle to /etc/config/gargoyle and then restart the router.

2. Restore the entire www directory:
copy files from /rom/www/* to /www/* and then restart the router.

See if it helps.
