I tried, and I can tell that your suggestion is correct.
If I disable AdBlock, then Tor can be enabled without any issue.

Anyway, I can also tell you that on V1.10 both AdBlock and Tor were working simultaneously.
When browsing the Internet with Tor and AdBlock enabled, there were no ads.

With V1.12, Tor enabled and AdBlock disabled, I can see ads.

That is completely baffling, given that i specifically put code in there to do nothing when TOR is enabled:

Please be respectful when posting. I do this in my free time on a volunteer basis.

I believe you ...
But please believe me as well ;-)

When I had 1.10 installed, both AdBlock and Tor were working simoultaneously: there were no ads while browsing with Tor enabled.

Also in the bandwidth monitor I was able to see the Tor traffic in a different color.

If you have time, it may be worth to give it a try by yourself.

P.S.
For Tor I usually select "enabled, toggled by each host", and enable/disable the hosts based on my needs.
