My router is unstable, Why?

Post by ispyisail »

There can be various reasons why your Gargoyle router can/could be unstable. Common reason are listed below.

Reset your router to default then eliminate the below

1) Corrupt config - Do not use preserve setting or backup file

2) Wifi Interference - Set another static channel (e.g. 5)

3) Wifi Distance - wifi clients to far from the AP (weak clients can disconnect)

4) CPU overload. Turn of all features (router reset) then add features slowly back.

5) RAM limit reached - Turn off features, check log.

If nothing helps, try OpenWrt to see if there is a problem still exists upstream.
