Restore Default Configuration

I want to restore the original, out of the box configuration. Erase any changes I have made to the firewall settings (and every other setting) I have tried using the restore default configuration option under settings but it does not do anything. (even though it warns me it will erase all my settings) Basically I have messed up somewhere and just need to start over. I am runnig 1.8.1 on model TP-Link TL-WR1043N/ND v2
Any ideas?
