Incorrect PPPoE uptime after restart

Post by ViBE »

Maybe it's already reported. But it's not a fresh one and still exists on 1.9.2. After restart the router counting PPPoE uptime incorrectly.

That's a pretty minor bug caused by timezone shift. Is it bothering you significantly or hampering some functionality?

Gladly no. Just annoying when I want to monitor the uptimes. Are you sure it's related with timezone shifting?

Reasonably sure.
When I reboot it starts at zero. Then quickly jumps to 10 hours.
My Timezone is +10.

I could be wrong but that's my evidence.

Okay but in my case the difference is 4 hours and ~20 minutes. It's irregular I guess.

This issue still exists on 1.10.0. I'm in CET timezone and the router using a regional NTP server.

Basically if I just power off then power on the device the counter not zeroize itself. Only real restart occurs it.

Im running 1.10.x 20171221 on an AR150 in South Africa +2H. I have almost identical time in both fields. PPPoE is reporting 9H18 vs Time of 9H20, which makes sense if PPPoE takes a minute or 2 to connect after boot....
