After all I went through, to make it work the way I want; flashing, making extroot, installing adblock, creating white lists, adding all MS spying servers and few others to blacklist, making a backup, etc. starting from scratch doesn't sound good...
True

The thing is I know from experience that when creating the openVPN key if you hit browser refresh before its finished the file becomes damaged. The only way I fixed it was to re-flash.

I'm not saying this is the problem ...........

I know for a fact that OpenVPN server is rock solid if setup.......

It didn't happen to me. I least I don't remember refreshing the browser. Anyway, in that case, shouldn't the disabling the OpenVPN and deleting the files, fix the problem?

No doubt

You would think.........I tired this with no luck.

In my case it was just easier to re flash.

Anecdotal evidence suggests over 50% of the problems with Gargoyle are from bad configs. A quick re flash should eliminate this as a possibility.

I use OpenVPN with gargoyle on a daily basis and I know its rock solid.

It is working. I had to change protocol from UDP to TCP. It seems that my ISP doesn't allow to use UDP and port 1194.

Fortunately I didn't had to re-flash my router.
