TP-Link 1043 bricked...

Post by Flak »

Looking for some suggestions. I upgraded my internet to 60/5. Wasn't getting the speed, so went to power cycle the router. Unplugged it and the modem. Plugged the router back in, boot process never completes. PWR turns on solid, lan lights for those ports that are connected turn on. SYS and WLAN just blink.

I tried the hold reset, plug in router, let go of reset once sys led blinks. I can see the router in wireshark. But can't telnet to 192.168.1.1, just get timed out error messages.

Sorry for the delayed response, forgot I posted a cry for help here.

I ended up being able to connect to the web gui (even with sys and wlan blinking) if I was connected to port 4 on the switch. From there I just reflashed 1.3.9 using the flash from factory file. It seems to be good now (since Monday), though I haven't done any rebooting.

*It was running 1.3.8 I believe, or maybe it was already on 1.3.9 when this happened.
