TL-WR841N v8.4 (100 mpbs)

Post by SaulG00dm4n »

hi first of all i would like to tank you for developing this anwsome firmware the QoS got ride of my lag problems when playing online games :D.

But i have some questions, my isp is fiber 100 mpbs download and 10 mpbs upload, i get from modem around 96 mpbs download and 9,7 from upload, is this router capable of getting the actual speed of 96 mpbs via wifi? i seem only getting 78 mpbs via wireless with QoS turned off ofc.

Another question for optimize my qos total field what should i put? so far i put in upload: 9300 kpbs and in download 78000 kpbs is this right or should i have to put my actual speed connection of 100 mpbs on QoS total bandwitch?

Do a speed test via a cable connection then take away 5% from each figure.

Wireless isn't a good indicator of throughput.

Tanks, im using the stable 1.8.1 is there any reason to update the firmware for something like 1.9.1? I use the router mainly for portforwading, wifi and QoS.
