Cheap decent AP only

Post by arejaytee »

Hi all, saw a post a little while ago talking about a nice cheap access point that gargoyle supports but for the life of me I cant find it now!

What would everyone recommend? just looking to extend the wifi signal on the other side of the house.

routers are cheaper than APs and any router can be a AP by disabling DHCP

Thanks for the reply danymarc, I am fully aware of this! I was more looking for specific model numbers that people recommend.

Have decided to go with the TP-LINK 300Mbps Wireless N Router (TL-WR841N) ($33) from Kogan (Australian)

Was the only one I could find easily that was currently supported and would just work as is to give some better coverage.

In future will look at replacing both I have with something better https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Comfast ... 33271.html looks nice if it really supports OpenWRT.
