AC mode for archer C7

archer C7 V2 with gargoyle 1.9.0

I noticed that my ipad air 2 only had a maximum of 300mbps showing up in connected device page. Seems like it's under 11n 5G mode only.
The wireless setting only allows me to set dual band or N+G+B or N+A, does not mention ac. I set it to dual band and got 300mbps on ipad air 2.

I then modified /etc/config/wireless, replaced "htmode HT40+" with "htmode VHT80" and rebooted the router. The connection speed of ipad air 2 jumped to 800+ mbps.

Does anyone have similare issue? I'm not sure it's a bug or Gargoyle simply does not support ac out of box?

ac support is in beta at the moment. You can try it out by loading the latest @ispyisail build, or simply wait a little while for the official release
