What is the status of this? I'm looking to setup a schedule by MAC for Youtube to keep my son's viewing in check. Currently I'm running 1.9.2 on a C7

Downloaded 1.10.x from your site. I take it the Firewall Restrictions apparently didn't work correctly before this version?

I'd guess an "all hosts except" would be the best option for me so it would essentially whitelist any MACs where I don't want to restrict youtube to certain hours.

They worked, they just ignored HTTPS because it was invisible to them.

Yes an all except seems the most sensible here

Looks like https will slowly become invisible again in the coming years if the IETF RFC is accepted

Gargoyle currently exploits SNI for https mining

I thought my blocking was working except his smartphone can still reach youtube with the app. When I go to Web Usage screen, I can see youtubei.googleapis.com and s.youtube.com from the phone, yet I have domain contains youtube as one of the "Block Only" entries???

It works ok on my end. You may wish to try re-creating the rule and confirming that it works as intended

Hi all,

I would like refresh this topic. It doesn't matter if I would like to block youtube, facebook or any other https website, I wish ask if gargoyle have working solution ?

How to correctly blocked that kind of pages ??
I need to block some pages in certain hours.
