Yes - this would make good sense. Also it has been discussed to go another step further and adjust the quota automatically thru the month to allocate the remaining balance in some proportion.
Can you help someone else get Gargoyle up and running?

While the conversation is about usage stats, here is one for my wish list.
Have a rule for the bandwidth distribution page, when selecting distribution time frame DAYS, have a sub menu that has exclusion times eg 00:00-06:00
I am on an Island with one satellite provider (expensive), but we have free d/l between 12.00am and 6am.
I have quotas set that exclude those times, but it would be nice to be able to see what chargeable usage each machine is doing.
Currently I go through hour by hour to check.
Or an option for 6 hour blocks instead of the jump from one hour to a day.

So do you mean that you want to log how much bandwidth is used during the free download times?darkfibre wrote:I have quotas set that exclude those times, but it would be nice to be able to see what chargeable usage each machine is doing.

Nope, I want to see bandwidth during the charged times, the time sample in my post was exclusion times.nworbnhoj wrote:So do you mean that you want to log how much bandwidth is used during the free download times?darkfibre wrote:I have quotas set that exclude those times, but it would be nice to be able to see what chargeable usage each machine is doing.
For instance, my biggest user schedules torrents for the free times, so they show up as the biggest monthly user, but in fact they may be a small user when it comes to billed usage..
