I have WNDR 3700v2
I am using DLNA via attached USB drive, but sometimes i got error that media server is not available and I must run PC and go to routert administration and press rescan media and after that i may turn off PC and watch data.

it is possible to somehow automatized this? Something like ping watchdag ... if DLNA server is down than restart DLNA server?
If yes than how

You could use cron to repeatedly check, if DLNA is down and restart it if needed.

i am not familiar with crone could you please tell me more info
where or how?
