How to backup OpenVPN keys

Post by wyf88 »

Hi everyone! I have been using Gargoyle for a while and my favorite function is the easy-to-use OpenVPN server. However, everytime I upgrade my router to a new version of Gargoyle, I have to reconfigure everything for safety, including generating new certs for OpenVPN, which is quite annoying. And I find that the backup option in the menu doesn't seem to backup the OpenVPN certs. I browsed the forum and googled, but didn't find a solution, maybe because it's too silly. Could anyone tell me an easy way to preserve my OpenVPN certs after upgrading? Does it work if I backup the whole folder of OpenVPN and paste it back via SCP after upgrading? Thank you!!

Try backing up all the files. Tell us how it goes. I am curious if it works.
