Kbps going out on my wireless

Post by juvaliya »

Is there a way I can limit the Kbps going out on my wireless router? Currently using an At&t 2wire router. Reason why I want to limit is because people keep using too much of the bandwidth for downloading drama and all that bs.

Gargoyle will do this but I am unsure if it will work on your router. The only problem is that drama and BS are usually contained in text files and URL post requests which use an infinitesimally small amount of bandwidth. In order to limit it through outbound bandwidth restrictions you would basically be shutting the pipe off completely.

It would be much easier to change the password on the wifi, or limit it to certain hours of operation. Gargoyle can do that as well..
