Post by pryme »

Hi,

I'm not sure about support this router by Gargoyle. So it is?
I looked at OpenWRT wiki, but there's no clear information.
I'll be very grateful for resolve my doubts.

If you don't find support I suggest you to read a lot before flashing 740 Ver 4 is supported by Gargoyle, and OpenWrt here http://www.gargoyle-router.com/download ... actory.bin

Yeah, I saw that and I was running OpenWRT on the WR740N v4, but that one was 4.20, not 4.27 which has different SoC. That's why I preffered to ask before flashing and bricking the router.

As you can read he flashed a 4.27
I wanted to boost my wifi range on my TP-Link WR740N v.4.27 router so I installed the DD-WRT firmware. It worked fine,

He had a issue with iPhone, but that is another matter, I can set wrong my 741 OpenWrt that Apple devices can't connect and Laptops can connect, or I can set it right and all devices can connect.
