TP-Link WR1043nd v1.10

Post by emamuthu »

Is TP-Link WR1043nd v1.10 version supported. I don't see it on supported list. If so, which is stable version to download and install. Do I need to install German version before going with Gargoyle firmware?

I'm running 1.5.10 on a 1043nd 1.11 so your 1.10 should be fine.

Hello

Sorry if this question is old. Was reading some posts and a wiki some very old and some from just a few months back and seem to get conflicting information.

I have been running gargoyle on my wndr3700 v1 for well over a year with excellent results (thanks Eric) Just bought the in-laws a TP Link WR1043nd ver 1.11 and want to configure it and send it with the wife for x-mas. (they live 4 hours away and I have to work)

Can I load the one of these files directly from the TP firmware. I do know I may need to shorten filename, but not sure if I will have to revert to older stock firmware first.

gargoyle_1.5.11-ar71xx-generic-tl-wr1043nd-v1-squashfs-factory.bin
gargoyle_1.5.11-ar71xx-generic-tl-wr1043nd-v1-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin

Been a long time since I have upgraded from the site and forget which to use (If I can at all) Normally I would just go for it and report my results - just don't have time to figure it out on my own before she makes the trip, or time to get a new device in the mail.

Thanks for the help here & on all the other thousands of posts I've read over the years.

John

Hi if you are stil on stock fw then flash gargoyle_1.5.11-ar71xx-generic-tl-wr1043nd-v1-squashfs-factory.bin
if it has openwrt or ddwrt on there then go with the 2nd one. good luck!
