Canada have a bandwidth limit

Post by shiwleex »

Why does Canada have a bandwidth limit? I'm from the northeast of the US. My friends in Canada say that if they exceed a certain bandwidth limit of their internet, they have to pay more. I have never heard of this. I always though that you get unlimited internet and you have to pay a fixed amount at the end of the month. DO any of you guys have a bandwidth limit there?

All ISP's have a bandwidth limit per month

Most cable providers limit you to 250GB a month

Unless you're continually streaming Netflix/Youtube/etc with multiple
wired/wireless devices and/or have a huge family, the only way you
can hit this limit if you are downloading illegal software / torrenting.

ISP's have to pay a bandwidth fee at the end of each month to the
big pipe brokers they get the bandwidth from, so in order to make it fair
to everyone, there is a limit - most just don't hit that limit

Smaller ISP's and/or providers not via cable internet, may have lower
limits - so it's best to check your agreement with your provider

there must be some thing in quota..that speed will slow down with respect to time..

if remaining bandwidth quota is low, then automatically bandwidth speed should be lower...
user speed= quota remained / time remained for reset..
