Can anyone tell me which Atheros chipset is used in the ZyXEL NBG334W?
Thanks!

Thanks for the reply fkdfl234. Would you care to expand on your statement? What version of Gargoyle would be a good starting point? Also, I still need confirmation of the chipset if you can help with that.

That last post was a spammer.

http://wiki.openwrt.org/oldwiki/hardware/zyxel

Check that link

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.a ... 6833181168

Newegg shows the router as having 4MB Flash / 16MB Ram

If this is a Broadcom chipset,
the generic Broadcom OpenWRT/Gargoyle firmware may work but
there is also a chance that it may result in a failed flash as well.

You would have to open up your router and check what chipset
is in the router.

If its an Atheros or Broadcom chipset - it MAY be supported.

Currently, almost all Zyxel routers are showing as unsupported by
OpenWRT which means Gargoyle won't work on the router either.

2x Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH V1 A0D0 = Gargoyle 1.9.x / LEDE 17.01.x
2x Engenius - ESR900 Stock 1.4.0 / OpenWRT Trunk 49400

"Doesitmatter", Thanks for the clarification and the links. I think that answers my questions.

I should have recognized the other post for what it was, since I have been participating in various forums for years. I just let my guard down.
