Hi all. I've a TP-Link router, TL-MR3420 v.1.2. I know that this router does not offer NAT function, for that I just installed Gargoyle firmware v. 1.10.0, however I've not found this funcion.
Are it a plugin or the Gargoyle firmware not offer this function?
P.S. I want just to connect an Hard Drive to router USB port and share the content with a read and write rights for users conected

Your router doesn't have enough flash storage to install the required USB drivers and plugins to do that.
You can try custom compiling your own version or trying the Polish version instead

Hi Lantis.
First, thanks a lot for your help.
Can you post a link for download of Gargoyle polish version?
This version hve the NAS function built-in or it is necessary to install a plug-in?

I looked and could only find a very old version. I would not recommend running it. Ultimately your device is now too old and underpowered. It would not perform well, and make a terrible "NAS"

Lantis, thanks for your answers.
Allow me to take advantage of your knowledge: could you recommend a low-cost router with this function or that can be "Gargoyled" (obtaining an good "NAT")?

No consumer router will make a good NAS. They're not meant to be the same device.
In theory you can attach a hard drive to any router with sufficient flash space and RAM such that it is supported by Gargoyle and share media, but it won't be a perfect experience honestly.

Some of the archer c7 series if you want cheaper. WRT Linksys or r7800 Netgear on the more expensive end.
You want Gargoyle support and 16MB flash minimum + 64MB RAM minimum
