Archer C7 v2 and occasional blackouts

Post by Oober »

Hi,

Using Gargoyle 1.12 right now. I have faced some occasional blackouts of the router, resulting no connection either with lan or wifi. Some time ago, I set the gargoyle to reboot every morning at 4 am, but this morning (at 8.30 am) I still faced the problem. I’d say this was third or fourth time for the problem after setting up the scheduled reboot. Hard-resetting the router was the key to solve the problem.

Any ideas to permanently solve this?

Thanks

Ok.

I have been very satisfied with this router, though. Should I expect some regression with C7 v5 model (with Gargoyle) if I will purchase it? This model can be still found in stores.

Have you excluded external factors?

Bad cable, plugged into the wrong place.................etc etc

After checking all these things hardware does fail.

Yes I have.

As said, hard-rebooting the router solves the problem. So you think it is okay go go for C7 v5?
