I have configured a wired bridge connection to my main router.
Although it has its own SSID, is it possible to enable client connections with a different password to the main router?
Client bridge with a different password

Re: Client bridge with a different password
Do you mean wireless bridge?
No, not using the GUI.
That isn't really in the spirit of a "repeater" is it?
If you want a different password, you can switch to Gateway mode, but you'll end up with a separate subnet.
Or you can use the command line to alter your configuration as you please.
If you mean wired bridge (i.e. Connect Via: disabled), then you are in control of the password, set it to what you want.

Re: Client bridge with a different password
Thanks for your reply, it's a wireless bridge repeater, configured with a "connect via client bridge". With the repeater enabled, I can set a different SSID to broadcast, but there is no place to put a password in.
Re: Client bridge with a different password
It's not supported in the GUI like i said.
If you want a different password for the repeated network, command line only.

Thanks for your prompt reply. If it's command line only, could you point me to some documentation that I could use to formulate the command?

All wifi options available to you

Understanding UCI

And the interface you want to edit is the AP, not the STA.

Thanks for your assistance. That worked fine.
