Gargoyle Packages (backfire?)

Post by ng3700v2 »

The "Install Gargoyle as a set of packages" documentation (http://www.gargoyle-router.com/wiki/dok ... f_packages) still refers to "http://gargoyle-router.com/packages/kamikaze0809/...".

Hasn't Gargoyle been ported to backfire? If so where do the latest packages live?

Thanks!

I am also wondering this.

Tried these and got 404 on both:

Code: Select all

http://gargoyle-router.com/packages/backfire1003/brcm-2.4

Code: Select all

http://gargoyle-router.com/packages/backfire1003/brcm47xx
Not sure how compatible the Kamikazi packages are in Backfire.

Try: http://gargoyle-router.com/packages/backfire/brcm47xx

There were multiple versions of kamikaze, only one backfire, so the suffix isn't needed. Also, if you visit that URL directly you'll get a 403 (forbidden). However if you set it in opkg.conf, it will work, since that looks for the index in the Packages file, which is present and can be accessed -- you just aren't allowed to view the full directory at that index url.

Hi all!
Thanks very much for your post. I have a Comtrend CT-5361 (Brcm63xx), follow this link to see its specs:
http://wiki.openwrt.org/toh/comtrend/ct5361
with openwrt-96348GW-squashfs-bc300-cfe.bin Open-wrt firmware (backfire 1.3) working fine. However, I would like to install gargoyle because I get lost myself in the configuration UI of Openwrt. I mostly want this working, in order to use WPA2-AES AP-WDS mode....
I found this binary files:
http://www.gargoyle-router.com/phpbb/vi ... 8898#p8898 and worked, however, I dint get the WDS working. I would like to ask you which are the steps to upgrade open Openwrt backfire UI to Gargoyle trough SSH.

Thanks a lot !! it will be great to know to install it to all the brcm63xx users!
