opkg cannot install nano

Hello,
following flashing of my router with the latest gargoyle firmware I noticed that nano is not installed. Tried:

opkg install nano
ERROR: No package named nano found, try updating your package lists

I did an update before, with no errors reported. My opkg.conf seems to be okay:

cat /etc/opkg.conf 
...mmmh, can't post it, urls are not allowed :? 

If the output of the opkg.conf is needed, please indicate how to post it ... did not change it though, looks like

src/gz chaos_calmer_base http://downloads.open..../chaos_calmer/15.05.1/ar71xx/generic/packages/base

for base, management, pckages, routing,telephony.Plus one line for gargoyle.

What can I do about it?
