Bandwith

Post by vineapple3332 »

I have a 50GB data plan. (really great deal BTW) Does anyone have any recommendations of bandwidth hogs that I could block on my network. I was thinking Microsoft Updates, Microsoft Peer to Peer Updates, iOS updates, Android Updates, as updates could occur when I am connected to a unlimited connection.

I'm not exactly sure how I could do this though.

selective blocking is not easy as most traffic these days is encrypted

Lantis included blocking encrypted sites in the code a while back. I'm not sure if this was only added to the mvebu code but I believe its in the current development version. Works for everything I've tested it with (facebook, yahoo, snapchat etc.)
