Trying to install to Buffalo WHR-600D (ramips 7620)

Post by Sreez »

Hi! I have a buffalo whr-600D on ramips 7620 with installed
openwrt-15.05.1-ramips-mt7620-whr-600d-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin based on OpenWRT chaos_calmer/15.05.1

I would like to install gargoyle firmware As A Set Of Packages but there is no repository for ramips chipset.
Can anybody tell is this possible to upgrade this router?
Thank you!

You cannot install gargoyle "as a set of packages".
But you can compile your own version.
There is already an MT7620 architecture being built, you would just need to add your router to it

Hi!
Should I compile it from source code?

Yes definitely.
Adding your router to /targets/ramips/mt7620/profile_images
Should be all that is required. Then
make FULL_BUILD=true ramips.mt7620
