best Performance router available

Post by kiwiandy »

My old WRT1900ACS is starting to have issues. SO i guess its time to replace it.
What is the newest/ best performance router available now that people here recommend to run Gargoyle?

Thanks I have read that already. Apart from the Linksys routers (as I mentioned I have a WRT1900ACS already that has died) the others are all listed as being older architecture, or getting harder to find and flash... so it seems my only choice is another Linksys??

I think it is time to cost/availability optimize a CPU platform that only brings a Gig-E switch and fast throughput. Gargoyle processor intensive features are up against fiber connectivity speeds. And the cost of faster WiFi capable routers that are required for higher end CPU's is getting too high :!:
