Logs to resolve router lock up?

Post by Bottesford »

I am running v1.8.1 on a TP-Link TL-WR1043N/ND v2.
Everything is working fine most of the time, but very occasionally (every few weeks perhaps) the router locks up - all connectivity is lost, I cannot access the web UI or ping the router.
Power cycling it gets everything restored but I rely on this router for remote access.
So are there any logs I can check to see why the lock up happened? I couldn't find any debug logs in the UI. Is there a way to reboot at such a time automatically?
I wanted to have a service running so if the internet connection is lost I send a request to the router to reboot -or- to some hardware to power cycle everything. Thing is that's tough since if the router goes down there is no network in order to send commands to any power switch hardware... Ideas welcomed!
