Router Recommendation

Hi,

First off, thanks for all the work the developers put into Gargoyle. I've been using it for a few years and it has been great.

I was wondering if anyone has first hand experience with the Netgear WNDR3700v2 vs a newer router? I have a WNDR3700v2 that has been really good. The only thing I don't like is that the wireless range seems poor. I am looking to replace the router with something that has better range.

Is there a router you guys would recommend? I have been looking at the TP-Link Archer C7 v2.

Thanks

Are you referring to the Archer C7?

I'm really torn about relocating my 3700v2 by running some Cat 7 cable (100 feet or so) or getting a new router.

It seems like the chipset in the 3700v2 has gotten a lot of development lately in LEDE. Hopefully that will make it's way into OpenWRT and Gargoyle shortly.

yes, C7

In my opinion run a cable every time. It just works.

Yeah, that's the conclusion that I'm coming to. More work, but it will probably be a lot better in the long run.

Thanks
