I have several TPLink routers. The upgrade for WRT1043 and WRT740ND are all fine. Thank you for Gargoyle Team's good work. For the upgrade of WRT3600, I find that the time of the router cannot be updated no matter how I set. It always show " Current Date & Time: 2015/08/25 00:16 UTC+8"

I think it should create some problems for some router's functions.

Time OK on my TL-WDR3600. Do you have a WAN/Internet connection on that router?
Can you help someone else get Gargoyle up and running?

Yes, I use it as a wireless AP, so it is connected to internet via a main router.

Since it may be only my problem, I just re-flashed again by using gargoyle_1.8.0-ar71xx-generic-tl-wdr3600-v1-squashfs-factory.bin, but the result is the same.

Just wondering, before upgrading to gargoyle 1.8, I had flashed Of Modems and Men (another OpenWrt derivative) firmware for a trial, not sure if this is the root cause.

Put that warning on the
https://www.gargoyle-router.com/download.php

DOWNLOADS PAGE

you know where it says:
WARNING: Do not attempt to preserve settings when upgrading from versions ≤ 1.6.2 to 1.7.0, or versions ≤ 1.5.6 to 1.5.7+

StopSpazzing,
Normally, I would not reserve any setting for flashing gargoyle firmware unless for testing purpose. I also prefer not to use the upgrade file for flashing. For this 3600, I did not reserve the setting and did not use the upgrade file.

The 3600 is connected to internet. The 740ND is fine after the firmware update that is within the same network, but not the 3600.

Odd!

So at:
Gargoyle - System - Time
I have:
Time Zone: UTC+10
Date Format: mm/dd/yy
Time Format: 24hour
NTP Servers: Global

Silly questions .... but:

Did you click "Save Changes"?

Did you have more than a single browser window/tab editing the settings?

Is the time wrong on both:
Gargoyle - System - Time
Gargoyle - Status - Overview

I NEVER reserve settings, just like you, but that WARNING should be updated regardless.

My fault!

After disabled the WAN, I had an option to update the gateway address. After updated the gateway address, the time is correct now (just don't understand why the mobiles connected to this SSID can go internet).

Thank you all for your help!

Out of interest - did you actually change the gateway address - simply retype and/resave the gateway address?
