Restore settings from a saved file.
All work fine, but...
The stored settings LAN was 192.168.0.x
After rebooting, I lost access to the web interface.
SSH access is present. And all other function is working.

ps tp-link 1043nd v.1
I reset the settings and try again. All the same - web service is not available.
I reset the settings again, and manually configure the router, make a backup and compare two files.
The backup of 1.7.1 have file \etc\config\httpd_gargoyle
The backup of 1.7.2 instead it have file etc\config\uhttpd

I think that's the problem.

It IS the problem.
It is recommended that you do not attempt to preserve settings when upgrading to this version. A config incompatibility can cause various problems including reboot loops.
I would recommend that users upgrading from 1.7.1 to 1.7.2 do so without preserving settings. This is due to the change in web servers.
Manually backing up settings and applying them 1 at a time leaving out httpd_gargolye should work ok.

I came from 1.6.2 to 1.7.2 (gargoyle-ispy 2015-July-24 15:43) - My device: WNDR 3700v2

1) web interface is smoothe and very fast (in 1.6.2. was realy slow)
2) bandwitch is not good as in 1.6.2. (I have 50/25 under 1.6.2. i had 50/24,5 under 1.7.2. I have 49/22)
3) DLNA - when i press rescan (mounted USB) than after while I got reboot router (under DLNA is about 370 files from 650 files ... under 1.6.2. I had +- 650)
4) email notification is not working for me - test mail is working, but regulary email is not received, also I cant tick and save Recently Visited Sites

and I have questions regarding adblock plugin it is possible to add own websites? where are hosts stored?

To address your points:

2) it is hoped that under Chaos Calmer your speed will go back to normal. We won't know for a while yet though I'm sorry.
3) there should be a log file on your USB drive called "mindlna" or something similar. Can you find any errors? It might be an important clue.

As to your Adblock question.
You certainly can add your own websites.
I have documented all the features in the following thread:
viewtopic.php?f=14&t=7249
However to briefly answer, add your sites to /etc/black.list and then update your hosts file (by using the button in the GUI).

It is great that the Tor plugin is working again now in 1.7.2, but honestly, what can we do to get the latest Tor into the plugin repository?

The version that currently comes with the plugin is from October 2014 and Tor has gone through several updates since then.

I'd be glad to help if there is anything I can do.

Build your own version with the updated Tor. If it works, let a developer know. If it doesn't work, fix it, then let a developer know :).

First off I would like to thank everyone for the wonderful job in developing & maintaining Gargoyle, which I have been using for some time (currently 1.7.1).
One thing I would love is a tutorial on understanding & setting up QOS: I still have issues at time with my Voip when the Wireless broadband service gets congested (a 4G service). (I have seen the page on QOS, but it is still a mystery!) (My router is TP-Link WDR4300)
What I am asking now is if there is an easy way to get the current configuration output (to readable file or printer). I have always had to print it page by page which takes ages.

Thanks again, Doug

I have a Ubiquity TM2i bullet with factory OS ubnt.
I have applied the gargoyle 1.7.2 factory firmware and getting about a 50% success rate where the unit is stable.
IE it boots to gargoyle ok to default IP but as soon as I program it to our IP address range 50% of them will cycle boot 54 pings down 17 pings up and around and around it goes.
Any suggestions as I am burning through these things faster than a fat kid with a bakers dozen of cream buns.
Cheers Andy
