Hi ,

Has anyone tried the latest on a TPLink WR1043 1.8 to see if the wifi is now stable?

Thank you for this.

Was there any progress in either showing VPN status on the client router login screen, or in blocking WAN access except to the configured VPN server?

If there have, I will go and buy another router for testing the VPN stuff further.

I am also curious which version of OpenWRT is used to build 1.6.0

Thanks again for your work in this area!

Greetings.

Just want to say thanks for all the hard work. I am currently running
1.5.X (Built 20130816-2128 git@9c5be4b) revision r37174 on WNDR3800 and it has been working flawlessly. Uptime of almost 60 days and no memory leaks. Wireless performance has been on par with the factory firmware using dual band and moderate to heavy use on several occasions from multiple devices.

Will upgrade when the time comes but for now I will keep the stable firmware I have on it.

Big thanks to all.

Just upgraded my TL-1043ND v1 from 1.5.11 to 1.6.0 keeping the settings.
Worked like a charm.

throughwalls: I haven't yet implemented your suggestion of OpenVPN notification on the landing page, and making certain the network dies instead of defaulting to an unprotected connection when OpenVPN dies and all traffic is supposed to be routed through OpenVPN. However I haven't forgotten about this! I really like your suggestions, but a few other things came up since you made your initial comments. I did include a bug-fix for the blowfish keysize bug you pointed out, but I still need to get to the other issues.

Problems !
Two units, one as Gateway and a remote unit as repeater.

On Gateway side, when try to access repeater, I type:
192.168.2.200:8282 ( its repeater address)
immediately it becomes:
http://:8282192.168.2.200:8282/login.sh

and, of couse, page not found

Repeater was 1.6.0 and Gatway is 1.5.11

Other miss point. On repeater mode there is not Wireless MAC Filter feature.

No coments about it ?
Problems !

192.168.2.200:8282 ( its repeater address)
immediately it becomes:
http://:8282192.168.2.200:8282/login.sh

Same thing happens with Gateway: I typed:
192.168.2.1:8080 and it shows http://:8080192.168.2.1:8080/login.sh

and, of couse, page not found

Using Firefox.

If using Crome, nothing happens, no acess, no URL change.

Repeater was 1.6.0 and Gatway is 1.5.11

Other miss point. On repeater mode there is not Wireless MAC Filter feature.
