Another one requesting feedback on 1.5.7 Attitude Adjustment running on a Netgear WNDR3700 v1.

I'm currently on 1.5.4, only using "basic wireless router" features
(no VPN, no USB, no QoS)

Has wireless performance improved over that of v1.5.4?
I often find the latter quite poor, particularly stability and range for both 2.4 and 5 GHz bands.

Thanks

The Attitude Adjustment didn't work you say?
Apparently not for him ;)

Running fine so far for me on 2x 1043nd, one flashed from factory and one from 1.5.6.
Running what? I was talking about openvpn in 1.5.7... Try to configure openvpn with gui with the dev tap option. It says that tap is not supported

The WNDR3700v1 uses the Atheros 9k wireless chipset, which did receive quite a lot of work on Attitude Adjusment. I had very poor performance with my WR1043NDv1 and it improved substantially, in both stability and bandwidth. I'd give 1.5.7 a try if I were you.

Using a 1043ND v1.8 I've noticed that whenever I connect an openvpn client the router becomes unresponsive after a couple of minutes (the wifi goes down atleast, I didn't try with a wired connection to see if it was just the wifi or the whole router).

I've not tried openvpn in any previous version of gargoyle so I cannot tell if this is a new problem or not.

All setting were made from scratch in a fresh installation.

I noticed a previous comment about 1.5.7 being unstable on a WNDR3800 however I can report no problems in my case - I've no TOR or QoS set up but I am using OpenVPN. Not sure if it was necessary, I did do a 30 30 30 reset before upgrading.
