You should be able to flash 1.5.7 from 1.5.6 via the GUI

BUT - you CANNOT preserver settings - you HAVE to reset to defaults.

If you want to use 1.5.7 - safest way would be download the
firmware, then reset your router to defaults, then go ahead and
flash 1.5.7 and again UN-CHECK the Attempt to preserve settings

Once 1.5.7 is going - you can re-configure everything fresh

DO NOT load an old config file - reconfigure everything.

Why don't you TRY IT YOURSELF? If you don't like it then downgrade back to 1.5.6 and restore your old settings.

Working fine on a 1043nd 1.7, save for the small glitches reported earlier in the thread, which you should've read prior to posting.

sorry, I did not get the thing. Will the updater set default settings when I update to 1.5.7? from web interface. Or I have to do it manually before the flashing?

Hm. Does anyone know why 12.09 disappeared from openwrt.org?
http://downloads.openwrt.org/attitude_adjustment/
Isn't it because of "attitude adjustment" instability?

See that page

OpenWRT had a huge RAID failure - they are undergoing recovery.

Attitude Adjustment is VERY stable from all the wireless testing
I have done with multiple Atheros radio devices - solid signal,
good transfer rate, and good up-time too.

Any feedback on the Netgear 3700v2 performance and stability using V1.5.7? Should I wait for the final release? I'm really interested in wifi stability and range in the hopes it will improve over 1.4.6
