A 30 30 30 reset does nothing in a standard configuration of openwrt as far as I know. Activating the failsafe mode is the only thing the reset button can do as standard in openwrt.

Did you use openvpn as a server and did you actually connect a client to the router? It's only after a couple of minutes after I've connected an openvpn client that my router goes down. You got a more powerful router, it might be a ram issue.

Hello!
First, I Love the Gargolye Management Utility, great job!
I was a long time user of Tomato, been running flawless for years.
I needed to upgrade my router and ended up with a
Buffalo wzr-hp-g300nh2, wish I would have picked different, but after a $20 rebate, picked it up for $40 bucks.

First time I flashed it, I used the none v2. Wow, what a trip getting it back to the orig dd-wrt, then got gargoyle installed.

Anyway, been running 1.5.7 for about a week now and the last 4 or 5 days, the router becomes super slow. The status page eventually loads, but does not show that it is heavy loaded.
So after several PAGE NOT RESPONDING messages, I'm finally able to get in and reboot the router from the system page.
After a reboot, everything is fast again.

I installed this firmware:
gargoyle_1.5.7-ar71xx-generic-wzr-hp-g300nh2-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin

My red light never goes out, but everything seems to work as expected, well, except for the needing to reboot the router every couple days.

Any recommendation, should I try a different .bin file?
Any logs I can get that will help better see what is going on?

Thanks again for all your hard work!

-Trey

I'm running as a server and no problems with connecting or router going down.

One problem I have found with DNS servers. I use OpenDNS but it was not working, sites that should have been blocked were not. I took a look at

/tmp/resolv.conf.auto

and I noticed that there were additional nameserver entries, the DNS settings from my ISP. I commented these out and all now seems to be working.

Is this a confirmed error?

When does the next firmware with these corrections applied?, (Instead of having to apply the patch).
Thanks for the effort!

I upgraded my wr841nd v7.2 from openwrt to gargoyle 1.5.7.
It worked but i did the 30/30/30 reset and now the password becomes invalid. Any way through? Urgent. Thanks.

I moved from the latest DD WRT build to Gargoyle 1.5.7. All appears to be working well on my Buffalo WZR-HP-G300NH.
