Has anyone been able to get an OpenVPN server to work on this version? My issue is that if I choose VPN server in the GUI, I cannot save the configuration, I hit the save changes button and it doesn't do anything and will not turn the OpenVPN server on at all. I can configure a client just fine just not the server (which is what I need of course). Anyone had this issue? Is there something I need to do command line or anything like that? I got it to turn on once after doing a settings reset, it took 8 minutes and said it generated the key pairs, but it did not function at all and trying to make any changes to the config and I had the same issue with the save button not doing anything. I am using a WNDR3700v1 router, everything else works great but was really looking forward to VPN support. Any suggestions?

Has the CPU load display been changed in any way? mine seems to show high values, I thought before 0.90 = 90% ?? .. but now if I run a speed test and pull in 80+ Mbps and check the load it goes upto 2.0 or higher.

Read this page:

http://linuxwireless.org/en/developers/Regulatory/CRDA

You won't find much tinkering help with the regulatory settings

OpenWRT does have some info on how you can "tweak" them though

I still have a copy of the tweaked "regulatory.bin" file if anyone needs it

PM me though, I'm not going to attach it to this post.

Sco77 - the more features added to the firmware, the more cpu load
imposed on the router. So yes, it is conceivable that, depending what
you have running/configured, that CPU load will increase

hello Eric and fellow members.

First, thanks so much for your hard work with this great firmware.

I have a Netgear WNDR3700v2 and after upgrading to 1.5.5, i cannot do any changes to the OpenVPN settings.

Same as g12345, when i click on save settings, nothing happens.

any advice is greatly appreciated.

Make sure, that you have openvpn and openvpn-easy-rsa installed from gargoyle's repo (in version 2.1.4), not from backfire. Common mistake is install openvpn-easy-rsa in wrong version, without gargoyle specific files.

Guys i desperately need help..i installed the 1.5.5 and again even after providing the wan ip etc in the router, i am not getting internet...the wan light stays off without any internet connection. My setup is a static wired connection and i have entered all the details properly. But after saving the settings it does not detect the connection. I can confirm that the wan port is fine as on the stock firmware the router works fine and it detects the internet connection. This confirms that there is no mac address blocking by my modem. I have even power cycled the modem...any information as to how to resolve this.

Thanks for the info, Cezary, but sadly, i have no idea as to how to do any of that.

All i did was upgrade to 1.5.5 from 1.4.7, using the GUI.

I used this file:gargoyle_1.5.5-ar71xx-wndr3700v2-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin

No where in here i saw any reference for those packages.

Can you please point me in the right direction?

Thanks!
