I just put 1.5.3 on a new tp-link tl-wr1043nd and restored a backup from 1.3.9 (including >30 ip <-> name and wan mac addr etc.) and the dhcp menu link was missing too, but accessible through dhcp.sh url.

But when I switched from gateway to bridge and back again and then clicked 'Save Changes' the dhcp link came back to the menu :)

I was very pleased that even the web usage log was restored!

Doesn't it say in numerous posts on this website that restoring from an old version like 1.3.9 isn't supported? Even though you think you have everything working, chances are something isn't configured right. Plenty of people have reported this.

I am unable to install 1.5.3 over the 1.4.6 as twice it ended up making my router non responsive and I had to try the on/off factory reset and then recovering my firmware using the netgear disc. For some reason the sysupgrade.bin always currupts the router. Can i try the normal image on top of the 1.4.6

I just wanted to do a quick test and was not too worried that it wasn't supported. I just thought it might help someone else.

ALOT is possible via the command line via putty

Currently not supported in the Gargoyle GUI

Maybe a future feature?

Try this

1) Re-flash 1.4.6 over itself so that it wipes everything and does
a full reset to defaults of everything on the router.
2) DO NOT reload an old config - leave everything as default.
3) Close all browsers, re-open a new one, goto the Gargoyle GUI
and immediately do the upgrade to 1.5.3
4) Report back with what happens (hopefully a success)

Just upgraded from 1.4.5 to 1.4.6 on WR841.

Upgrade was smooth. But somehow I lost internet connection after upgrade, though the status shows "connected" and there is a valid WAN IP, but I cannot connect.

I had to power off my modem and router to connect to internet.

Also the bandwidth usage data seem to be lost, though the quota usage is still there.

1.5.3 - first build to work flawlessly for me :) I've been trying out Gargoyle every few months.

Works awesome on my TP-Link TL-1043ND v1.7 I love it!
