Finally DynDNS is fixed (I hope)
Looking at the SVN there appears to be a whole lot of patches with DNS after 1.5.1

ispyisail: I've noticed in a few of your posts that you refer to the Gargoyle repository as "the SVN." SVN is an abbreviation for "Subversion" which is the name of a source control system that Gargoyle no longer uses. In mid 2010 Gargoyle migrated away from SVN and now uses git.

So, you may want to refer to the code repository as just "the repository" or "the git repository." "The SVN" isn't really accurate any more.

Why not 1.5.2?
Seems they are already working with Backfire 10.03.1 Final:

Looks like Eric already updated the Gargoyle git repository to use this version, so the next release of Gargoyle should use it. I doubt you'll notice much of a difference compared to any of the recent versions though.

I guess I will migrate to 1.5 if this doesn't make it into the 1.4 stable.

Can anyone comment on either of these running on the TP Link WR1043ND? Is the Wifi stable yet? I've had issues with all the 1.4.x versions, and the 1.3.x versions had major issues with the dynamic dns, so I had to revert back to stock firmware. Can anyone with this router confirm that those things are working?

Also, are there any fixes in the latest backfire that would help with this router's wifi?

1.5.x has been totally stable for me... both mine are v1.8
the next version should include fixes for some people who have trouble with some versions.
Try 1.5.1 to see if you have the same trouble.

Yeah, mine is a version 1. I had tried the 1.5.0 firmware, but it was unstable. I think I'll hold out for the next version and give it a shot. Thanks.

Hey guys, nice work with the new firmware. I have a saving issue on my DIR-825 with firmware 1.5.1. The router cannot remember its settings every time I reboot it or turn it off and back on. If I wanted to downgrade from 1.5.1 back to 1.3.16, should I just use the file "gargoyle_1.3.16-ar71xx-dir-825-b1-squashfs-sysupgrade.bin"? I'm not too sure how to downgrade.
Cheers guys

Yes you can always downgrade or upgrade with the
"sysupgrade" file from the Gargoyle GUI

However, thats not always the case with restoring the config file

If you jump from 1.5 or 1.4 back to 1.3, I would NOT recommend
restoring the backup.tar.gz file - reconfigure from scratch instead.
