New Site Design

Post by Eric »

As you may have noticed, the Gargoyle site looks a little different than it did yesterday.

Thanks to my good friend Carol Fournier we now have a design that's a bit cleaner and more elegant, not to mention roomier. She did the design, while I implemented it. If anyone wants to hire a good graphic designer I encourage you to drop Carol an email at carolafournier@yahoo.com

Besides the new, roomier layout, the Gargoyle shop can now accommodate more than just one product. I'm now selling ethernet cables and plug adapters in addition to routers. In addition, new router models will be added in the near future, just as soon as v1.4.0 is released.

Finally, the Gargoyle Shop now officially supports International shipping -- except countries in the EU. Unfortunately, there is a regulatory compliance issue with shipping the model of router I am currently selling to Europe, so that is still not possible. Also worth noting is that all international shipping now must go via International Express Mail which is more expensive than an economy option I offered to some International customers before. This is necessary because the economy option did not allow tracking, which meant there was no way to deal with the situation where the package got lost. This change only affects new orders -- orders that have already been placed will go out as before.

If anyone has questions/issues with the updated site/shop, please post to this thread. Thanks!

My 2 cents. No offense, but the center column does not match the rest of the template. I guess this is the beginning of work on the new template.

Thanks for your feedback -- I appreciate it. I'll take it under advisement for the next round of re-design.

ispyisail: I think you need to refresh your browser cache. If you close your browser and re-open, does the problem persist?

Very nice new web page, congrats!

It seems to be having big issues with chrome tho, but besides that I really like the new design.

your correct

firefox 4

"close your browser and re-open" made no difference but hitting F5 did.

It looked bad for days and I thought everybody had the same problem :(

I was to polite to say anything

Ditto on the Chrome issues.

Running Ubuntu 11.04 using the Chromium 12 browser for Linux.

The forum is showing alignment issues like ispyisail's screenshot.

Firefox & IE look ok on Windows machines though.
